9 C all purpose Flour
4 t Baking Soda
2 t Salt
3 C packed Brown Sugar
3 C Sugar
4 C Shortening

Thoroughly combine dry ingredients. Cut in shotening until crumbly. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place up to six months.

TO MAKE COOKIES:

7 C Cookie Mix
1 t Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs, beaten
2 C (12 ounces) Semisweet Chocolate Chips
*
Combine mix, vanilla and eggs, mix well.
*
Fold in chocolate chips and drop by tablespoonfuls 1/2 inch apart onto greased baking sheets.
*
Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.

Yield: 2 dozen per batch
